There are great things happening this summer. There has been an overwhelming response from the community in support for the new herbicide program!
The LSCCF depends our members to support the other important work we do as well. We have a full season harvesting program planned, which will combine efforts in tandem with herbicide application this season.
LSCCF is working in partnership with LSCA on recruiting homeowners to participate in the Lake Wise Program being offered by Agency of Natural Resources. An initiative that awards lake-friendly shoreland property, including that of state parks, town beaches, private homes, and businesses.
The goal of Lake Wise is to establish a new normal, a new culture of lakeshore landscaping that is proven to help protect the lake. A property that earns the Lake Wise Award will represent a “model” shoreland property. The Lake Wise Award certifies a property is well managed, using shoreland Best Management Practices, and is maintained to care for the lake.
We are eager to recruit 10 home owners on Little Lake to join us in this program! Please reach out to Robin Barley for more details- email@example.com
Also, please talk to your neighbors about joining the Fund. We are working hard for everyone, but we won’t be successful without strong, growing support from the community. We need your help and as much financial support as everyone can provide. For example, further work on the dredging project won’t be possible this year without additional support.
Thanks in advance for all the support!
