The Board salutes the Little Lake community generosity shown by donating $11,770  to match and surpass the $7,500 challenge put up by LSCCF board members!

THANK YOU to all of the donors for their generosity. We have exceeded the $ 7500 level in order to receive the matching pledges made by the LSCCF Directors.

The Lake St Catherine Conservation Fund (LSCCF) is dedicated to  restoring Little Lake. Please take a few moments to read what we are doing and support our annual fundraising drive.

• LSCCF is working to convince the DEC to grant permits for a full lake aeration system with the introduction of enzymes to reduce sediment buildup and invasive lake vegetation

• LSCCF reinstated a harvesting operation back in 2017 to remove hundreds of cubic yards of invasive lake vegetation each summer
o Per DEC regulations, the harvester only clears paths to boat up and down the eastern and western shorelines, connected to a single travel lane in the middle of the lake. The harvesting program is a major expenditure, costing over $20,000/year.

• LSCCF secured a permit to dredge a designated area along the shoreline to prove the concept. The long awaited kickoff of this project occurred last week. If this works as we expect, we will pursue additional permits to dredge elsewhere around the lake.
o If permitted by the DEC, this work would greatly improve property owners’ ability to navigate from their docks to the rest of the lake.

We need your support.

All donations are tax-deductible and you can donate with or without joining the LSCCF at the lakematters.com website or send a check to LSCCF, PO Box 52, Wells VT 05774. You can also get more information about our work on the website.

Please join the fight!

Thank you for your support,
LSCCF Board of Directors
