On February 25, 2012, the LSCCF held a public session called the Lake Forum. The meeting, attended by 25 members and six others, was an opportunity for local residents and members to be brought up to date on the activities and progress of the LSCCF. President Bill Steinmetz began with an overview of current conditions in Little Lake, using an array of enlarged photos and a slide presentation. The opening was followed by a review of the history of the lake. Maps and depth study data confirm that the lake was formed by glaciers long ago. This fact dispels the common misconception that Little Lake is an impounded wetland formed from a meadow by construction of a dam.
